Campus visits help students envision their futures and take the next steps toward higher education.

On October 16, Shepherds seniors from Kolbe Cathedral High School in Bridgeport and Notre Dame High School in West Haven hit the road for an exciting day of college exploration, visiting Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) in New Haven and the University of Connecticut (UConn) in Storrs.
As our seniors prepare for life beyond high school, these campus visits provide valuable opportunities to experience college life firsthand, explore different academic environments, and begin envisioning the possibilities that await them.
From discovering campus resources and learning about academic opportunities to getting a feel for student life, the visits offered students a glimpse into what their next chapter might look like. Experiencing two distinct university settings also helped broaden their perspectives as they consider their college options and future goals.
College access and readiness are central to the Shepherds mission. Through personalized mentoring, academic support, and enrichment experiences like these college visits, Shepherds helps students build the confidence, knowledge, and skills needed to successfully navigate the transition from high school to higher education.
We are proud of our seniors as they continue preparing for this exciting milestone and look forward to supporting them every step of the way.
The future is bright for the Shepherds Class of 2027!
