Mentors, mentees, and friends give back to the Bridgeport community through a morning of service.
A chilly fall morning didn’t dampen the spirits of Shepherds mentors, mentees, and friends who gathered at Seaside Park in Bridgeport for a rewarding morning of community service.
With an enthusiastic turnout and plenty of helping hands, volunteers rolled up their sleeves to collect litter and debris, helping preserve the natural beauty of one of Bridgeport’s most treasured waterfront parks.
Hot coffee and donuts provided some much-needed warmth, while teamwork, laughter, and a shared commitment to giving back made the morning especially meaningful.
Beyond making a positive impact on the park, the cleanup offered Shepherds mentors and mentees an opportunity to connect outside the classroom, strengthen relationships, and experience the importance of community involvement.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated! Your time, energy, and enthusiasm are a wonderful reminder that small acts of service can make a lasting difference.
At Shepherds, mentoring goes beyond academic success. It’s also about inspiring young people to become engaged, compassionate leaders who make a positive impact in their communities.
